Variabilita srdeční frekvence v tréninkovém procesu: historie, současnost a perspektiva

Michal Botek, Jakub Krejčí, Andrew J. McKune

The autonomic nervous system (ANS) regulates processes in the body to maintain cellular homeostasis. Heart rate variability (HRV) is a modern diagnostic method for objectively assessing the ANS response to both, training and non-training stimuli such as psychosocial and/or environmental stress. Currently, there are several testing protocols for evaluating the ANS using HRV analysis. Longitudinal HRV assessment allows for accurate and reliable training load adjustments to be made according to current trainability (adaptability) status, and consequently, plays a role in increasing the efficiency of the training process. Moreover, regular HRV assessment may contribute to a reduced risk of cumulative fatigue and overtraining. HRV analysis has become a popular component of the training monitoring process, allowing for an individualized approach to training, especially in team sport events.
