Terapie zaměřená na maladaptivní schémata: Teorie a praxe

Roman Procházka

Our objective in this monograph is to explore the issue of the maladaptive schemas. We approached the problem from the perspectives of various authors, including their definition of schemas, core beliefs and other related areas. We investigated the approach to the maladaptive schemas by J. E. Young and the approach to the emotional schemas by R. L. Leahy in detail. We enhanced these perspectives by including the relevant topics and areas of the attachment, temperament, traumatic experiences, dissociative processes and protective factors. That way, we managed to place the issue of the maladaptive schemas better into the frame of the current state of knowledge and allowed more complex exploration of the phenomena and connections which one can encounter in the therapy.
